[BTS #4] Tech Tools You Will Need for This Course

Welcome to the 4th edition of The Songwriting Habit behind-the-scenes newsletter. Yesterday, I shared why I don’t want everyone to buy this course.

Today, I want to tell you what tech tools you will need to successfully implement the course.

As I’ve mentioned before, this course isn’t about how to write songs. That’s something you should already know how to do. I want you to stick to whatever process works for you. This course is simply a framework to put your process into in small, consistent amounts.

That said, I do need you to incorporate two tools that I use:

  1. iPhone Notes app (or something similar)
  2. iPhone Voice Memos (or something similar)

The iPhone Notes app is just a text document, while the Voice Memos app is a recording app.

For Android users, you will need an app for text and an app for recording.

If you’re a flip phone user or prefer pen and paper only, I don’t recommend this course. Yes, there will be principles that will apply, but I want you to know this course caters to smartphone users. That said, I love you, and please know you are folks after my own heart.

That’s it for this week. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you soon with another BTS newsletter!

Aaron
