(#3 song in progress for kids album I’m working on.)
One day I grabbed an old tire from the side of the road, brought it home and hung it from our maple tree in the backyard. Watching the kids swing on it, I got this idea for a song about two tires having a conversation about the afterlife.
Love,
Aaron
LYRICS:
ONE TIRE SAID TO THE OTHER
WHERE WILL I GO IN THE END?
I’VE HEARD THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE
WHERE I’LL BE NEW AGAIN
THE OTHER TIRE SAID THAT’S TRUE
IT’S A PLACE WHERE CHILDREN SING
IN THE SHADE OF TREES, I DO BELIEVE
WE’LL ALL BE TIRE SWINGS
SWINGING, SWINGING
SWINGING ALL DAY LONG
SINGING, SINGING
SINGING OUR FAVORITE SONGS
YOU AND ME, ONE DAY WE’LL BE
TIRE SWINGS
THE FIRST TIRE SAID OH GOODIE
WHAT A FINE DAY THAT’LL BE
THIS ROAD SURE HAS BEEN LONG AND HARD
AND I COULD USE RELIEF
THE OTHER TIRE SAID DON’T WORRY
DON’T YOU WORRY ‘BOUT A THING
IN THE SHADE OF TREES, WITH A GENTLE BREEZE
WE’LL SOON BE TIRE SWINGS
